In ancient Egyptian culture, the Scarab was a symbol of transformation, renewal, and the best things about oneself. At life’s end, the scarab was placed over the heart, thereby containing the person’s shortcomings, while ensuring their passage into the afterlife – which was the most important aspect in Egyptian culture.
The Egyptians recognized the color green and its auspicious symbolism of health, renewal and wealth. Across many cultures, emeralds have been recognized as a symbol of renewal, fertility, hope, prophesy, and wisdom.

The Founder
Kallah Maguire
Founder of the Emerald Scarab
Kallah Maguire founded The Emerald Scarab. As a professional wardrobe stylist, Kallah has worked with many different teams for photo shoots. However, she most enjoys working one-on-one with private clients, making direct, beneficial impacts in their personal and professional lives, with real results and measurable success.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kallah is known for her passion for haute couture and a playful attitude. Kallah attended the Fashion Institute for Design and Merchandising in San Francisco, and has worked in the European fashion industry and in the domestic consumer market. She has styled for the Primetime and Daytime Emmys, Esquire International, and Amsterdam International Fashion Week. Some of Kallah’s other clients include Ben Affleck, Jessica Paré, Skyler Stone, Johnny Coppola, and Dominique Swain.
